SID is the world’s most prestigious forum that attracts the brightest minds and innovations in visual information technology. The Society for Information Display's annual Display Week runs from May 12th - May 17th, offering a wide selection of display technology presentations by global experts that simply cannot be found anywhere else.

The four-day Symposium features hundreds of leading display industry papers from around the world in multiple technical sessions. It includes a plenary keynote session, presentations in parallel sessions, a poster session organized around selected topics, and author interview sessions with demo models each afternoon. This year's program consists of six technical tracks of over 70 technical sessions consisting of nearly 400 oral and poster presentations.

YOUNG ENGINEER SPOTLIGHT(YES):

We know that formal education is a necessary and strong foundation for all engineers – but there’s so much more to understanding the field. The purpose of the Society for Information Display’s Young Engineers Spotlight (YES) initiative is to provide a forum where young practicing engineers can share their post-education experiences in the professional world of engineering, and learn from SID peers and colleagues at all career levels. As part of our inaugural effort, we’re seeking enthusiastic young engineers (<5 years of experience) to be interviewed and share their stories at Display Week 2019, May 12-17 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. We are also interested in interviewing engineers with 5-10 years of experience who can provide valuable insights to our YES membership.

JOB FAIR:

Job Fair will take place in the morning and afternoon on Wednesday, May 15. The morning Job Fair will take place from 8:00 am to 11:45 am in room 212 at the convention center. SID will be sponsoring a luncheon from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with a Speaker Panel on “Starting your Professional Career”. Lunch will be served in Room 230C. The panel is geared towards discussions for young engineers who are just beginning their professional careers. Job Fair will resume at 1:15 pm and continue until 4:00 pm.

You are welcome to attend an evening networking reception for Young Engineers and Students from 5:00 pm on Wednesday, at the conclusion of the Job Fair. It will be held in the same room where lunch was served (Room 230C).

I-ZONE:

The Innovation Zone is a three-day exhibit of pre-commecialization prototypes by graduate students, startups, and large companies. Following SID's mantra of "showing you tomorrow's technology, today," the I-Zone has been a smash hit since its debut in 2012, while 2019 similarly promises to have the exciting prototypes on display.
